You can call the Crisis Line about anything that is causing you concern, worry or distress. Examples might be suicide thoughts or feelings, mental health problems, addiction issues, family violence, abuse, relationship conflicts, loss, or just plain loneliness.
The Crisis Line provides immediate, free, and confidential emotional support, crisis intervention and community resource information to people of all ages, 24 hours a day – everyday.
The toll-free Hope for Wellness Help Line offers 24/7 support to all Indigenous people. Trained counsellors are available by phone at 1-855-242-3310 or online chat at hopeforwellness.ca. This service is available in English and French, and upon request in Cree, Ojibway, and Inuktitut.
Kids Help Phone is Canada's only toll-free, 24-hour, bilingual and anonymous phone counselling, referral, and internet service for children and youth. Every day, professional counsellors provide support to young people in urban and rural communities accross the country.

Kuu-Us Crisis Line Society provides crisis services for Indigenous people across BC.
Individuals impacted by the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls are encouraged to contact the MMIWG Crisis Line toll-free at 1-844-413-6649. If you require immediate support, please contact this national, independent toll free 24/7 support line to speak to a counsellor. This service is available in English, French, Cree, Anishnaabemowin (Ojibway) and Inuktitut.
This crisis line is available 24/7 for youth, provided as part of a suite of crisis lines and support resources under the umbrella of the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) throughout the province of British Columbia.
Métis Crisis Line is a service of Métis Nation British Columbia. Call 1-833-MétisBC (1-833-638-4722).
The National Indian Residential Schools Crisis Line provides 24/7 emotional support and crisis intervention services to former students of Residential Schools. In addition, those seeking assistance may be eligible for supports through one of the trauma-informed health and cultural support services (The Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program, Indian Day Schools Health and Cultural Support Services, or Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Health and Cultural Support Services).

Salal connect is a text and online chat support tool that allows survivors sexualized violence to receive accessible and confidential crisis support. Kuu-Us Crisis Line Society provides crisis services for Indigenous people across BC.
This organization develops and provides culturally safe mental wellness and addiction programs for First Nations and Aboriginal individuals in the Lower Mainland. These programs include adult counseling, support groups, and cultural support and teachings. Adult counseling incorporates traditional therapeutic practices, addressing various issues like trauma, residential school experiences, grief, depression, anxiety, and addiction.

Offers cultural services run by Indigenous women for Indigenous women. Direct services include drum groups, counselling, Elder’s and support groups and different ceremonies such as full moon and sweat lodge ceremonies.
Access to Indigenous Women’s Stopping the Violence (STV) Counsellor to assist with trauma, safety planning, feelings awareness, inner child work and loss of cultural identity.

Virtual Substance Use & Psychiatry Service is an FNHA service providing virtual specialist support in addictions medicine and psychiatry. This service requires a referral from a health and wellness provider who can support the individual on their journey. First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day can provide referral support for anyone who does not have a provider who can refer them to the program.
Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) is a partner with the FNHA in providing access to counselling, cultural and emotional support services to former students of residential and day schools, and their families, regardless of status. Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program provides access to cultural supports and mental health counselling for former students of Indian Residential Schools. The program is available to anyone who attended a school listed in the 2006 Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement, and their family members. UNYA's Native Youth Health and Wellness Centre (NYHWC) offers culturally-relevant health and wellness services to Indigenous youth aged 12 to 30.
The center provides a safe and welcoming environment for accessing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual support, featuring Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Counsellors, and Elders. .
Metro Vancouver Indigenous Counselling is an online platform made up of independent mental health professionals. This platform provides counsellors with a community of practice to assist them in meeting the complex needs of Indigenous peoples throughout British Columbia.

QMUNITY offers ten sessions at a reduced cost of health and wellness counselling. In some circumstances, free counselling may also be an option for folks. If you are unable to afford our counselling fee we may still be able to accommodate you.
Appointments are available during business hours, 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
* The waitlist for our low-cost counselling program is currently open. However, please be aware that due to capacity limits many individuals have been experiencing wait times longer than three months.
Please note that signing up for the free program incurs a waitlist estimate time of 6-8 months.
