The Vancouver Aboriginal Violence Prevention Program (VAVPP) is seeking an Indigenous artist to create a cover and a design element for a series of 3 informational brochures. The same 2 pieces will be used for each brochure.
The VAVPP is working to build community knowledge, resources, and services around gender-based violence (GBV). One of our projects is a series of informational brochures, the topics of which are: an information guide on understanding GBV, a guide on creating a safety plan to increase safety for those who are living in violent situations, and a resource guide that includesVAFCS and other Vancouver-based services for those fleeing family violence.
Please note that these brochures include information about violence and abuse, including examples of physical, sexual, and emotional violence. Applicants should be prepared to read introductory-level educational materials about these topics.
