Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

VAFCS is proud to offer the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), a valuable resource for individuals with a modest income and a simple tax situation. Through this program, we host free tax clinics by appointment, where our dedicated team of volunteers file tax returns for our clients.

At CVITP, we believe that everyone should have access to quality tax services, regardless of their financial situation. Our volunteers are committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of the tax system, ensuring that they receive the maximum benefit and refund to which they are entitled.

Our program is designed to provide personalized service to each client, with a focus on building strong relationships based on trust and respect. We take the time to understand each client's unique situation and tailor our services to meet their specific needs.

ACCESS Status Card Clinic Program

ACCESS' Status Card Clinics, held bi-monthly at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre, provide vital assistance to individuals seeking to apply for or renew their Status Card. This government-issued identification card confirms an individual's registration as an Indigenous person in Canada, and is an important document for accessing a range of essential services and benefits.

Our Status Card Clinics offer a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can receive assistance with completing their application, ensuring that all necessary documentation is included, and submitting their application to the government for processing. Our goal is to help Indigenous individuals and families access the benefits and services to which they are entitled.
